Access to clean water: our clear objective.

With clean water close to home, families, villages and communities gain better health and more time, and are better equipped to lift themselves out of poverty.

The problem

Reaching water

Clean water can be just 50 metres beneath their feet, yet men, women and children often walk 3 miles or more to carry water from contaminated sources. Not once, but several times a day.

How we drill

Our own team drills with a portable hand-crank rig from The Village Drill, alongside trusted local drilling companies. It reaches 75% more places at 75% lower cost than a typical rig.

Beyond the well

Water comes first. Once a community has safe water, it often asks for the next thing: a clinic, a classroom, a safe home for children, a way to earn a living. We build those the same way, with the community leading and owning the work.
